New Fossil[edit]

I tried to substitute "clade = Panarthropoda" for "phylum = Arthropod." The deletion of "phylum = Arthropod" took, but I can't seem to insert "clade = Panarthropoda" in the TaxBox. What am I doing wrong?

As to the justification for the change, Fuxianhuiids are stem-group euarthropods (arthropods), not crown-group euarthropods (arthropods). That means that they are within Panarthropoda but OUTSIDE of Euarthropoda (Arthropoda). Fuxianhuia protensa is a Fuxianhuiid.Ray Glock-Grueneich (talk) 00:49, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

For inserting Panarthropoda into the taxobox, try something like "unranked_superphylum = Panarthropoda" As for Fuxianhuiids being stem-group euarthropods, all research and researchers I know of are all unanimous about fuxianhuiids unequivocally (eu)arthropods, but ones that are closer to the basal arthropod than trilobites or insects. Otherwise, a panarthropod outside of Euarthropoda would be like a tardigrade. Plus, if Fuxianhuia was outside of Euarthropoda, then it would be outside of Chelicerata, too, by default.--Mr Fink (talk) 01:09, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
