Thanks for starting this article. Notably, there is an interesting contradiction between what is stated here (that there is no information on whether Fulco ever made it to Estonia) and a statement in the History of Estonia article: "1171 Bishop Fulco and his deputy Nicolaus (ethnic Estonian convert from Stavanger convent, Norway) made a missionary journey to Estonia." Yes, there is a conflict. Fulco appears in sources just twice: at the time of his appointment in 1165 and when the Pope was asking Nicolaus to be sent to his assistance. No mention exists if Fulco ever made it Estonia, although it sounds likely based on the Nicolaus' assignment. It would be nice to correct the sentence in the History of Estonia to reflect the exact facts, or at least point out speculations (speculations are not bad, sometimes they are a must to make some sense out of fragmented history; but they need to be marked clearly). --Drieakko 21:08, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
