This article is totally incorrect![edit]

The following is false: "The Southern New England Telephone Company currently does business as Frontier Communications of Connecticut." The old "Southern New England Telephone Company" was defunct when SBC purchased it and SNET ceased to exist. SBC then re-branded itself with the "AT&T" name since it was more recognizable. With the sale of CT landlines to Frontier, THIS is the company - not SNET! SNET's history ends (officially) with the sale to SBC. Stop acting as if SNET still exists.

Commonly referred to as SNETCo?[edit]

Have lived in CT for going on 40 years. Have NEVER heard anyone refer to SNET as SNETCo.
