Olmsted 1910 Nine Mile Run park suggestion[edit]

Can include something about Olmsted's 1910 suggestion to make nine mile run into a park which was actualized recently --Hhm8 (talk) 05:04, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming the park or playground for Mac Miller[edit]

The article claims "The park has been renamed "The Blue Slide of Mac Miller" on Google Maps and "Mac Miller's Blue Slide Playground" on Apple Maps." and provides two cites, neither of which backs up that claim. There are other pages like https://www.phillyvoice.com/pittsburgh-playground-renamed-mac-millers-blue-slide-park-maps/ that say Google Maps used that name back in 2019, but only for the playground, not Frick Park itself (as the article seems to be claiming). Further, Google Maps doesn't use that name any more for the park or for the playground, as it's never been an official name for either one. They show "The Blue Slide of Mac Miller" as a "historical landmark" within Blue Slide Playground, itself within Frick Park. Is a temporary unofficial renaming of a playground within Frick Park significant enough to be mentioned in the Frick Park article? If so, the claim here needs to be corrected and a suitable cite added. If not, perhaps deleting this incorrect claim would be best. --StevenDoerfler (talk) 21:36, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
