History[edit]

Would be nice to see some dates, eg for the construction of the harbour and for the period when it was busy enough to support the inn. Also, info about imports/exports (fish?). Laurel Bush 12:28, 17 January 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Fresgoe harbour was built in the early 1830's. It was built by a Major William Innes, so perhaps there's been some confusion due to his surname. It was built primarily to encourage fishing, and was also used on the north coast trading route. I am not aware of there ever being an inn there - the closest inn I am aware of ever existing nearby was in Reay itself. I know the current occupier of Fresgoe House, so may ask him what he knows of the history of the building. Lianachan 22:04, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

not nearly enough information to be considered a stub, so I removed the wikify tag and turned it into a stub. Syzergy 07:19, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
