Untitled[edit]

I think that Fremont Resident Jeff Fairhall has, over the past two years, made enough of a name for himself as a Fremont promoter to deserve a mention and internal link to a wikipedia page about his work. While Jeff Fairhall might not keep his place on the Fremont page for years to come, at the present time he has more visibility than any other single Fremont resident. I also think that he is characteristic of the old Fremont, which is loved and popularly associated with the district, rather than the new Fremont, which is described on the current Wiki revision as "gentrified." I want to make a note on the Fremont page, as discretely and concisely as possible, which keeps an internal link to wiki information on Fairhall. Does anyone have any problem with this idea? I disagree with your contention that "Jeff Fairhall has been widely recognized throughout Seattle as a Fremont attraction since 2003"; moreover, the Jeff Fairhall article doesn't really seem like it belongs in Wikipedia--he's simply not notable enough. --Lukobe 17:35, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I don't quite understand how a car becomes a 'stereotypical Fremont car' as is asserted in the article at present. A beat-up old Dodge doesn't exactly add anything to the article; all it does is give a negative and rather backward impression of the area, really quite an insulting one, it could be thought. If anyone else agrees, please do remove the image. Also, is there any way of preventing images blocking up the body of the text? I think most of the images currently in the article are useful, but if they could be kept to the sides of the article that would certainly make it look less haphazard... Thanks a lot for the work on this page Lukobe! It keeps getting better. On a related note about the images, as I mentioned previously, I only don't do it myself because honestly I don't know enough about the wikipedia software to do it myself. I think I'd just screw it up! :) P toolan 11:48, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"a troll crushing a Volkswagen Beetle"[edit]

The text currently states the troll is "crushing" a Volkswagen Beetle. This is a questionable statement as the car appears to be completely intact - neither in a crushed state, nor damaged. A better word choice may be "clutching". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.19.231.240 (talk) 02:20, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
