Fred Espenak has retired[edit]

Fred Espenak has retired from NASA in 2009 http://www.nasa.gov/topics/solarsystem/features/eclipse/espenak.html . He currently considered a volunteer by NASA. The following individual wrote me this Karen Smale, SED Web Editor-in-Chief at NASA Jan 23 to me Larry, As I mentioned in my initial reply, Fred maintains that website on a volunteer basis. He does it on his own time; NASA does not pay him to do it. NASA just provides the web server upon which that data is displayed. Fred does the calculations because he's an eclipse fan. I'm sure when his time permits, Fred will update the site. Regards, Karen This is in regards to the NASA Solar eclipse page which is very out-of-date! See date at the bottom of the page showing the latest update http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEpath/SEpath2001/SE2017Aug21Tpath.html Larry Koehn (firstmagnitude) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Firstmagnitude (talkcontribs) 02:04, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
