Frank Baker (disambiguation)Frank Baker – The disambiguation page itself doesn't even specify the putative WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, but there are 20 men listed upon the Frank Baker (disambiguation) page (including the two listed under "See also"), with no indication why "Frank Baker" should be a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to the baseball player from 110 years ago — Home Run Baker (birth name Frank Baker) — and whether his renown has remained at such an elevated level that it dwarfs the combined notability of the remaining 19 men. — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 01:45, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. No primary topic here. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:05, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • List 'Home Run' first, as the stats show he is the single most popular, but yeah, this seems like such a generic name that the threshold of primary topic should be harder to reach than this. --Joy (talk) 16:02, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Clear absence of a primary topic at the actual article title. BD2412 T 01:53, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

followup to move[edit]

WikiNav doesn't render much at https://wikinav.toolforge.org/?language=en&title=Frank_Baker and the page views at https://pageviews.wmcloud.org/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&redirects=0&start=2022-01&end=2023-11&pages=Frank_Baker%7CHome_Run_Baker indicate that there's been no loss of traffic for Home Run Baker after this change, and there's a mediocre amount of correlation. Clickstream archive check actually showed a dozen clicks on the leftover hatnote at that page, which was probably caused by Baker, Frank still going there, so I disambiguated that as well now. --Joy (talk) 17:39, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Monthly page views continue to show the same pattern - since the first full month of disambiguation (May '23), we see an average of 37 views/month, while in the analogous period a year earlier it was an average of 256 views/month. --Joy (talk) 00:22, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
