Guano claim[edit]

The 1899 Guano Islands Act claim was on a group of three islets that the petitioners called the Fox Islands, extending from 50°58'15" N, 58°44'45" W to 50°58'45" N, 58°45'22" W, which puts them more in the vicinity of Rochers Bun and the nearby islets. The petitioners never followed up on the claim and the U.S. never approved it. Source: Moore, John Bassett (1906). A Digest of International Law. Vol. 1.
