Discontinued?[edit]

I'm pretty sure that these have now been discontinued - can anyone in the know confirm? IIRC certain US ports of entry had dropped them as far back as 2008. I didn't need to fill one in when landing in San Francisco that year, though I did for Chicago in 2009. Mr Larrington (talk) 15:00, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't remember getting one last year, either. All I needed was the ESTA, and of course the customs form. (No, I wish I was carrying over 10,000 dollars!) Wouldn't know whether it's officially discontinued everywhere, though. Knight of Truth (talk) 19:59, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

At the bottom of the article,(through the supporting link) it says that these forms are discontinued on May 21. I can confirm that as of 4th of July they are no longer attached to passports of visiting tourists. There is a website (https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html) where the I-94 number can be retrieved. The article probably needs to be substantially edited.

This is supposed to have been discontinued for passengers arriving by airlines or ship since 2013. Apparently they get the data from the airline or the ship. But for those who cross by land this is still supposed to be valid. Suitable amendments and references must be given in a wikipedia article. I came here after checking a number of sites. I had a hunch I will get a confirmation from a reliable source such as Wikipedia. I was disappointed to see this remains un-updated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.167.244.109 (talk) 06:20, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
