Notable people section[edit]

Please note that "Notable people" sections in city articles are not to be populated with people who were or are locally famous. In order to qualify to be on that list a person must either already have a biography on Wikipedia (and thus were determined to meet the "notability" standard for people, which is found at WP:BIO) or you must provide independent, reliably sourced references showing that they would qualify for a biography (per WP:BIO). Any entry that doesn't have one of those indications of notability will be deleted. I just deleted over half the list from this article. It is possible some of them were notable, but without references showing that, they cannot be there. Gtwfan52 (talk) 05:42, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Any entry that isn't verified and isn't likely to be verified should be removed, to prevent misinformation. Peter James (talk) 15:01, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Forest Lake, Minnesota/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

The map reflects what Forest Lake was about 7 years ago ... the new Forest Lake, after annex of the entire (former) Forest Lake township is much larger and now the north west corner of washington county. everything north of Hugo and west of Scandia.
