Opening Silence

The article claims that there is 1 minute of silence at the beginning for tracks 1-12, to give a minute of silence for Justin. While there is actually 60 seconds of silence (I timed it), when I first bought the CD (new mind you) there was a sticker on the case that said "Featuring 48 seconds of silence from Korn!" Yes, the sticker was kind of a joke, but it's also true: each of the first twelve tracks are displayed as four seconds long on some players, and five on others. 5 X 12 = 60, but 4 X 12 = 48. So would 48 seconds be the "official" number (because it was on the sticker) even though it's not accurate?

Also, there is no citation for the belief that it is a minute of silence for Justin specifically. I have also read elsewhere that without the twelve tracks of silence, there are thirteen tracks of music, and someone in the band was superstitious, so they didn't want thirteen tracks on the CD. I'm putting a "citation needed" thing on that sentence. ChagrinRiddle 13:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Album cover

Fair use only allows for low-resolution album covers. If you want the article to show higher-quality images, try uploading in the .PNG format. But the size should not be higher than 400X400. (Ibaranoff24 22:41, 28 August 2007 (UTC))

The cover isn't from the music video, the music video is from the cover. I made an edit to the beginning of the article. --Zahveed 15:15, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

iTunes

Any reason why this album isn't on iTunes whereas several of their others are? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.148.129.238 (talk) 06:57, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Head on backing vocals

The article states that this is the last album that Head is credited on backing vocals. But he isn't credited with backing vocals in the albums liner notes, just guitar and I can not hear his voice anywhere on the album. 09:51, 20 January 2009 (DRF) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.232.31.155 (talk)

Listen to the song "Justin" you can heard head doing back vocals.--75.139.103.133 (talk) 12:45, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Children of the Korn

"Follow the Leader (Korn album)/Archive 1"
Song

"Children of the Korn" is a song written and recorded by American rock band Korn and rapper Ice Cube for Korn's third studio album, Follow the Leader. It was released as the album's third single in 1999. No music video was filmed, nor did the commercial single chart in any region of the world.

Concept

"That's the song that Ice Cube is on. Cube came up with the title. I fed off of what he wrote, he was talking about growing up and puberty. Dictating what he can do, like how you gonna tell me how to live, And all this stuff. And I took that and in my stuff I was talking about being a kid always known as the town fag. It's funny how things change. That some of these people picked on me and all of a sudden look who's laughing now. Also in another one of the verses I talked about all these parents fuckin' hating me for what I do, saying I'm corrupting their children, but in turn these parents need to step outside of themselves and really listen to what I'm talking about. Then I think they can understand that they were kids before. They're just really quick to judge me. All the Children of The Korn are all our Korn fans. All those kids going through that shit and feeling what I feel." – Jonathan Davis

B.B.K.

"Follow the Leader (Korn album)/Archive 1"
Song

"B.B.K." is a song written and recorded by American rock band Korn for their third studio album, Follow the Leader. It was released to Mexican and Canadian radio stations as the album's fourth single in 1999.

Music and structure

The song prominently features harsh guitar sounds with somewhat of an influence of industrial music coming through, and features scat vocals in the spots of the song where most traditional metal bands would have opted to implement a guitar solo.

Concept

"Big black cock! That's what I call a Jack and Coke. Those little glasses they serve in Europe and everything. That's what I named it, big black cock. And that's another song about me dealing with the pressures of this album and how I, you know, I'm trying to kill myself, but you know? Do I really want to kill myself? Things I'm just questioning myself. Most of this is self-structured." – Jonathan Davis

Justin

"Follow the Leader (Korn album)/Archive 1"
Song

"Justin" is a song written and recorded by American alternative metal band Korn for their third studio album, Follow the Leader. It is the album's twenty-second track and the tenth actual song.

Concept

The song is about a boy named Justin who was dying of intestinal cancer. His last wish was to meet the members of Korn.

"It really freaked me out. That threw a whole bunch of new kind of pressures on my head. That's really intense. Someone's gonna die and his last thing he wants to do is come hang out with us. So I truly just freaked out. It's like why would you want to meet me? What makes me so special?" – Jonathan Davis

My Gift to You

"Follow the Leader (Korn album)/Archive 1"
Song

"My Gift to You" is a song written and recorded by American rock band Korn for their third studio album, Follow the Leader. It is the album's twenty-fifth track and the thirteenth actual song. It concludes the album, and after a brief moment of silence and dialogue, is followed by the hidden track, "Earache My Eye".

Music and structure

The song was written by Jonathan Davis as a "twisted love song" for his first wife Renée Perez. The origins of the instrumental section can be traced back to Korn's first batch of club shows in 1993, where a song called "See Thru" (also known for carrying the title "Molested" on many Korn bootlegs) was frequently performed. Korn's fanclub released a demo of "See Thru" in 2005, which featured vocals by a man named Corey, a short-lived member of Korn when they were originally called Creep.

Concept

"Renee always wanted me to write her a love song and that's why I called it 'My Gift To You.' It's my gift to her, you know how I get sick. I always had a fantasy of fucking her and choking her to death. I fantasize about what it would look like me in her body and watching me do it. So it's like a really sick fucked up song. I did it totally like, I love her so much, I want to take her out of this world. It's really strange. She used to leave notes on my pillow like 25 ways she'd like to kill me. She's got this weird death fetish. We're kinda fuckin' freaky. She got it. She's all 'Thank you that's kinda fucked up. I was expecting a fuckin' I love you, baby kinda song.' I'm all, 'No, you know me.' I mean I can't do that."[1]Jonathan Davis
