I see that the page was tagged for wikifying, for citations, etc. I did a few of these now, but will have to do more later. Excarmel 04:50, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article was cited for a number of weaknesses, which i have addressed. First, it has not been visited by others because it needed a disambiguation link, which i set up in FOLLOW THE SUN. 2ND, there were no links to this page, which is now fixed, by adding 4 in related topics. 3rd, one citation (for now) has been added from a computer magazine. 4th, some links were added. 5th, the definition was made more readable by the layman... right? The idea of 24 Hour Knowledge Factory[edit]

"The concept of the 24-hour Knowledge Factory is inspired by the Industrial Revolution. Prior to the Revolution, manufacturing was a cottage industry where a product was developed from ideation to creation by a single craftsman and attending apprentices. The Revolution saw a transformation in manufactured goods from individual objects of art to interchangeable commodities. This transformation was made possible by investing unprecedented capital into specialized tools and machinery. Manufacturers, in order to leverage their invested capital as well as meet growing demands for their products, moved from daylight work hours to the modern system of working shifts around the 24 hour clock."

A group in University of Arizona has conducted the similar project to the idea of "follow the sun". Meanwhile, they have published a number of articles related to this topic. In addition, they have created a prototype called "MultiMind" to realize the idea of "24 Hour knowledge Factory".

I think the idea of "24 Hour Knowledge Factory" is more realistic in terms of the concepts and practises. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xuchen ben (talkcontribs) 16:26, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
