I notice that this page is still a stub in the digestive tract section. It properly belongs with medical equipment or stuff to do with the respiratory system and chest tubes. How do we make the appropriate modifications? There is no flutter valve associated with the lower oesophageal sphincter between the oesophagus and stomach. 58.165.234.110 23:34, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article might need to be restructured, but don't want to press forward with bad information. It's my understanding that a flutter valve is a more general category that would include the valve used in non-rebreather masks and other devices and the Heimlich valve is a special case.
