Explanation of "raspberry"[edit]

Since the fart term "raspberry" - and a commercial variant "Razzberry" - already occur in the text, it might be useful to add somewhere the explanation that this term, now used more often for an oral or artifactual imitation rather than for the anal eructation itself, is in origin the "Cockney" rhyming slang expression "raspberry [tart]" = fart. World's oldest joke[edit]

Not that I have the technical skill to do it well, but someone really should note in the history section that the world's oldest joke on record is (naturally) a fart joke. listing the fart joke is redundant[edit]

I disagree, the list of jokes on this page are what have made it the single most funny and entertaining article I've read on wikipedia, which is normally a humorless place. Well done to the editors who have added to this page (reading it was a real gas). I do think the 'Inculpatory pronouncements' section needs to be better organized so that it flows better. This passage seems, to me, to be presented without context: //Assigning blame to another can backfire: a joke about royalty has the Queen emitting flatulence, and then turning to a nearby page, exclaiming, "Arthur, stop that!" The page replies, "Yes, Your Majesty. Which way did it go?"//
