recent reversion[edit]

Although the recently-added material would be beneficial to the article, it appears to be a copyright violation of material found on Fitger's website.[1] Alternative writing conveying the same information would be welcome.--Appraiser (talk) 13:35, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Role of the Anneke family at Fitgers ( Percy and Victor Anneke )[edit]

Apparently there is some mix-up regarding the Annekes. Like Fitger, Percy Shelley Anneke resigned from the board of Fitgers in 1920 and sold his shares. He passed away in Pasadena, CA, where he had retired, in 1924. His son Victor H. Anneke took over as vice president of Fitgers and was responsible for the described activities in the 1920s which helped secure the economic survival of the brewery in the Prohibition years. He was president of the Duluth Rotary Club in 1927-28, there is a portrait photo of Victor Anneke on their website.

I am a German researcher on the genealogy of the Anneke family ( all descendants of the original Annecke family in Schadeleben^[1], a small village near Quedlinburg, Saxony-Anhalt (formerly Prussia), Germany ) and am very interested in contacts with Americans who know more details about the U.S. Anneke family and their descendants. How long did Victor live, does he have living descendants in Duluth?
