Alumnus Christopher Annino[edit]

A series of WP:SPAs have been attempting to add Christopher Annino as a notable alumnus. Per WP:ALUMNI he must have a citation showing his attendance and either a Wikipedia article or sufficient sources to show his notability to be included on the list of notable alumni.

The first attempts did not show his attendance but the latest attempt [1] has now added a source that confirms Annino's attendance at the school.

He does not have a wikipedia article showing his notability, thus he needs sources to show that he can be presumed to be notable. The applicable guideline for a filmmaker is WP:CREATIVE, but the six sources do not establish his notability. IMDB is a user-generated site and is not a reliable source. Four of the other sources are just passing mention of him having directed a silent film. According to the IMDB ref he wrote it too, and it had a budget of $20,000. It also premiered at a local library so we can safely assume this was not a major film. There's no evidence at all to support the claim that Annino is an "International Award Winning Filmmaker". The sixth source is more interesting. It mentions that a film will be made about his life, but is certainly not sufficient show his notability on its own.

WP:WTAF applies here. If he's notable then write the article about him first to prove his notability. Meters (talk) 07:32, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Agree completely with Meters. The only way you'll get past my objection to his perceived notability is to WP:WTAF. I've reverted again, and I would suggest you not re-add it until there is a consensus formed here to do so, and again, the ONLY way you are going to gain said consensus is to write his biography first.
