User Falcon9x5 edits the article as if he owns it[edit]

Originally posted: "In the GameCube version of Fight Night: Round 2, the Super NES game Super Punch-Out!! is playable. In addition, Little Mac, the Punch-Out!! series' protagonist, is an unlockable playable character."

Reason why Falcon9x5 removed it: "Wikipedia is not a game guide."

Posted again, Falcon9x5 responds with Wikipedia:GAMECRUFT.

However, Wikipedia:GAMECRUFT proves him wrong by stating that gameplay concepts are allowed as long as they are concise.

Please read WP:NPA. Stop running around calling WP:OWN and calling for page protection when someone reverts you. A list of unlockables is game guide content (technically, it could be trivia too). That Punch Out and Little Mac are playable in the GCN version of Fight Night is simply non-notable trivia. If the GCN version only had half the characters of the PS2 version, or had a vastly different control scheme, that might be worth including. Gameplay Re-write[edit]

I did a re-write of the gameplay section. I thought Total Punch Control and Haymakers needed the most explanation, so I devoted a single, short paragraph to each. Edit for length, form and grammar as necessary; they seem a little unwieldy to me, but contain, I think, the minimum information required to explain the features. I also added information on the Cutman, clinching, illegal manuevers and the KO Moment to the features rundown.

Additionally, I corrected a few spelling and grammar errors and removed some of the POV throughout the article. I like the game myself, but the wording was too complimentary. 68.9.205.10 08:18, 26 January 2006 (UTC) (TaintedMustard)[reply]

Fight Night Series[edit]

With Fight Night: Round 3 approaching release, I think that all Fight Night articles (currently 2004 and Round 2) should be merged into one Fight Night series article and that all of the individual games in the series should redirect to there, as with EA's other annual sports series': Madden NFL, NBA Live and the rest. Knowing EA, it will simply be an updated version of Round 2 (itself merely an improved version of 2004), with small enhancements and better graphics, and an individual article on each game seems excessive when the core gameplay features are identical.
