Demoted Field-Marshals[edit]

It's OK to name them when you have something more than just a surname. Also, I believe that redlinking is not very helpful. Oppose. This article is long enough to stand on its own. An article about the rank should certainly be created, but it should be titled Field Marshal (Russia), since General Field Marshal is also the translation of the German term. -- Necrothesp 20:33, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  - Fine by me. Howevever, the logic is that since General Field Marshal is the translation of both the German and the Russian terms it should not be used exclusively for the Russian rank. Complete list?[edit]

The book Za víru, vládce a vlast (by czech military historian Jiří Fidler) states, that there were 72 general field marshals, not 64 (as it is in this article). Can I complete it, or not? --Silesianus (talk) 11:32, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
