VANDALIZING ETHNIC INFORMATION ON NON-PASHTUNS OF AFGHANISTAN ON THE PAGES OF WIKI

It is sad to see a Pashtun ethno-nationalist write the entries for the cities and provinces of Afghanistan to the south, west and southeast of the Hindu Kush mountain. All the ethnic "statistics" are falsified to grossly exaggerate the size of the Pashtun people. The best resource for the accurate figures and statistics is: Luis Dupree, Aghanistan (Princeton University Press). There, one will get the right figures for the province as well as the city of Farah. So sad. What does one achieve by falsifying figures in an online encyclopaedia like this except misleading the people? Aimaqs, for example, predominate in the northeast highlands as well as the entire steppe regions to the west, bordering on Iran. Farah city is an old Farsiwan town, with a Pashtun minority (relatively sizeable). A vast majority of these Pashtuns, however, despite preserving their old tribal connections, they no longer speak Pashtu but rather Dari as their first language —Preceding unsigned comment added by Izady (talkcontribs) 02:18, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For correct figures see,

Textual sources: Louis Dupree, Afghanistan. 1st Edition: 1973; Ludwig W. Adamec, Historical Dictionary of Afghanistan, 3rd ed., 2003.

Cartographic sources: S.I. Bruk, Narody Peredney Azii (1960); S.I. Bruk, and V. S. Apenchenko, Atlas Narodov Mira (Moscow: Academy of Science, 1964) A. Gabriel, Religionsgeographie von Persien (Vienna, 1971).

It bodes ill for the future of a multi-ethnic Afghanistan to have Pashtun prejudiced individuals vandalize information on Wikipedia that attempts at providing accurate information for that country by denying the existence of all others except for the Pashtuns. The demogrphic information on Farah Province is yet another example how Northern Afghanies/Tajiks manipulate wikipedia..when the entire world and their mothers know that Pashtuns make over whelming majority in Farah Provinces (pashtuns make up more than 85% of the population of Farah Province). You can change the data and satisfy your fantisies but the truth would always stand. Tigerkhan007 (talk) 06:08, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Some guys over here want to create there own world as they see it, through wikipedia. The reality is that Pashtuns represent overwhelming majority of Farah Province, however, it is constantly being showed as Tajik Majority !!!. Similar vandalism is being carried out in case of other provinces. 101.50.95.85 (talk) 15:56, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

bigamy[edit]

Probably the wrong term as bigamy implies a crime, polygamy is probably better. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Geo8rge (talkcontribs) 19:24, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted edits made by IP 94.219.198.90. Farah is overwhelmingly Pashtun and Pashto is their native language. We are writing native names of the province. (Ketabtoon (talk) 01:57, 11 August 2010 (UTC))[reply]
