Marguerite of Angoulême, Duchess of Berry was sister of Francis I of France. I think that it would be useful to show this on the tree (Francis I was obviously the grandfather of Henry III of Navarre's first wife Marguerite of Valois), as it illustrates Henry III's proximity in blood to the throne of France (although his right to the crown came from a far more distant but all-male descent from Louis IX). Mother of Theobobald I - Blanche I?![edit]

The mother of Theobald I of Navarre was never queen regnant of Navarre, having died before her childless brother. The crown of Navarre passed to her son and she was never "Blanche I, queen of Navarre". Therefore, the first queen regnant named Blanche was the wife of John II of Aragon. Her daughter could be considered Blanche II of Navarre as de iure monarch of Navarre. Surtsicna (talk) 21:33, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
