I'll come back and do more on this later. --mjec 23:21, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I changed "separation of powers" to "division of power" as the "separation of powers" in Australian constitutional law usually refers to the separation of power among the legislative, executive and judicial branches at one level of Government (be it Federal or State). What we're dealing with here is the Constitutional "division" of power between the Commonwealth and the states. Apodeictic (talk) 09:43, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added sections regarding childrens matters and property matters. I'm rather tired and didn't realise until I was halfway though, so please excuse me if it's not up to standard. I'll fix it up later. As an aside, is it appropriate to use Australian legal citation on these pages? Typing out 'section' all the time is annoying. References[edit]

This article seriously needs references for it to be taken seriously. I'll try to add some myself but it definitely needs to be done before this article can be used as a credible source of information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LostOverThere (talkcontribs) 02:46, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Prior history[edit]

There should be mention somewhere of the practices before this Act was introduced. Either a brief mention here, or link to content elsewhere. —DIV (115.64.145.215 (talk) 12:28, 7 December 2017 (UTC))[reply]
