Similarities between MO of murders[edit]

It would be helpful to add a section regarding theories of the crimess & the similarities between the three murders- particularly the first two murders (the same fishing line used to bind their hands, sexual assault, and having their heads crushed with a rock). Karen's remains (the last murder victim) also showed evidence of blunt-force trauma to her skull. This information, along with additional supporting evidence, is detailed in the Fall Rivers documentary.

It seems like the present description of the crimes is somewhat stunted with respect to what is known as of 2023. Also, it would be helpful to include details of the Carl Drew trial, such as the recanted testimony of the three key witnesses (which was the only evidence the prosecution had as there was no forensic evidence that connected Carl Drew to the murder).

I think it could be interesting to make references to similarities between this and other cases, such as the West Memphis Three, which was also driven by Satanic Panic, lacked forensic evidence, and resulted in false convictions. 2601:1C0:4401:9B50:DA73:E523:79A7:540 (talk) 08:30, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

While those sound interesting, we would need reliable, secondary sources which make the comparisons for us. We cannot do the comparisons ourselves, that would violate our original research rule. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 10:25, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Flagged for possible undue weight[edit]

There's a dead link supporting the claim that the murders started the Satanic panic. The lead for "allegedly by a Satanic cult" is live but leads to a different page. In any case, I think this phrasing gives an impression of legitimacy that's not consistent with the historical consensus or the main "Satanic panic" article.

If there is real evidence that Satanism played a role in these murders, that would be worth including, but if not, I think it should be emphasized that these were rumors and not credible allegations.66.24.209.81 (talk) 14:37, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
