The article clearly states that this is a star with a distant gas giant exoplanet, and there is a separate article for the exoplanet. The two peer-reviewed references included in the article both describe it as a brown dwarf binary system. There are web urls for catalogues that include the secondary as a high-mass exoplanet. Which sources are the more reliable? Lithopsian (talk) 14:31, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've listed the exoplanet at AfD, since I don't see it meeting the criteria for notability even if it should be considered to be a planet rather than a brown dwarf. I'm planning to update this article to describe a binary brown dwarf unless anyone objects. Lithopsian (talk) 19:48, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Done, and FU Tauri b merged here. Kind of. Since that article was about a gas giant and I couldn't find papers treating it as a gas giant, it is referred to as a brown dwarf in the article. Lithopsian (talk) 18:40, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
