Deletion of this page[edit]

I have just removed some templates on the page, apparently calling for a review of the recent article for deletion debate here. However, there has never been a formal suggestion that the article should be deleted, so there can't be an appeal of the decision. Also, there was no place on the review page for comments. User JClapham appears keen to remove the article simply because a similar article about ANZIIF was deleted. If someone wants to remove this page, let them follow the AFD procedure. If anyone does, I will be voting to keep the article: the largest professional banking organisation in Aus/NZ is unquestionably notable IMHO. Ringbark 18:18, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree such an organization is notable, for the record. --LegitimateAndEvenCompelling 01:36, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree FINSIA are notable. However, so is the largest professional Insurance organisation in Aus/NZ (ANZIIF), which is also the second largest in the world (behind the UK's Chartered Insurance Institute).

However a page I contributed, with exactly the same format, was deleted, so I presumed that this page too should be deleted. No bad faith intended - perhaps a little bit over-eager in ensuring consistency.

Consider me rebuked. Jclapham 09:20, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Debate over sale to Kaplan[edit]

There are two sides to the argument, and either both or neither need to be represented in the article. If tose who oppose the sale would like to provide an external link to the letter, and also to FINSIA's pro-sale material, that would surely suffice. Ringbark 18:31, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright Issues prompts reversion[edit]

It may well be notable, but adding copyvio text didn't help. I have restored an early version. Star Mississippi 16:51, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
