Messi?[edit]

How many times has Messi been in first place, or won? I find his name on the winner list once, but on the "wins by player" list it says he was first place twice.  ??? Rhodesisland (talk) 02:08, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Someone vandalized[edit]

Fixed some more vandalization[edit]

Somebody vandalized the 2006 FIFA Player of the Year column and put Ronaldinho as #1, in which Cannavaro is #1. This page seems to be highly vandalized ever since Cannavaro has won the 2006 award. I might even recommend a semi-lock.

List of winners[edit]

The formatting of the list of winners is not very good, it would be better to make 3 columns so all winners are in one column. Now it's difficult to distinguish between winners and almost-winners. Piet 21:44, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Details" in women's section[edit]

The "details" in the women's section points to the details of the men's voting, which is pointless. Either the details should be provided, or the link should be removed.

List vandalised[edit]

This page has been vandalized, as far as I know there is no player named cheeseburger who finished 3rd in the FIFA World Player of the Year awards. Editing of this page should be temporarily stopped after the appropriate corrections are made.

Word soccer player and FIFA world player mix up!!![edit]

Position[edit]

Why is the position mentioned? It isn't even accurate. This has been corrupted by British culture... calling any attacker that isn't a striker a "midfielder", even if they played as a forward. Peoplesunionpro 19:09, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone add inter milan to club, he was there in 2002 before he went to Real Madrid.

Lock this article to stop it getting changed to improper information.[edit]

There were a number of modifications happening today .. rectified the ones i found to be incorrect i.e : 2006 Cannavaro was shown in AC Milan , changed it to Juventus + Real Madrid
Also Kaka's count was shown as 3 in 1st place , rectified it to 1

And Some More Vandalism[edit]

In th most win by Player's section, the firts through fourth place were changed to more random names. And for the 2009 winners, cristiano ronaldo's second place title was given to "alyrasmi". FIFA Ballon d'Or Combined[edit]

Well, the Ballon d'Or page lists the FIFA Ballon d'Or so I don't see why not. It makes for easier access to the information without needing to go to another page. 01:25, 7 January 2012 (EST).

100% Agreed. This page should be listed with the the FIFA Ballon d'Or for winners. The overall statistics on that page and this page is very misleading as they should be combined. They haven't separated out European Cup / Champion's League winners, just because it got rebranded 1992/1993. Similarly this shouldn't be separated. Can someone please add!

Female winners[edit]

FIFA Ballon d'Or is the recieve only male players. Women continue to receive the FIFA World Player of the Year as FIFA Women's World Player of the Year.

List "Won by players": Ronaldo and Messi wrong[edit]

Consistent Table Formats[edit]

The womens and mens winners tables are quite different. I believe to make it easier for the reader it should be consistent. I would recommend the format used in the Men's table, but either way as long as both tables are the same. --TinTin (talk) 00:47, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
