Hang on[edit]

This is an important tool with notable aspects. I need a little bit of time for a rewrite to remove any copyvio problems. Roguegeek (talk) 21:53, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missing table?[edit]

The entry for "jpg/jpeg" refers to a "following table", which I extracted from Phil's web site. HiTechHiTouch (talk) 18:41, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Operating Systems[edit]

I added Linux as it had been omitted, and minutes later it was moved to the end of the listed OSes, with Wikipedia:GEVAL given as the reason. Alphabetically, Linux should be first. It's a GPL project, so Linux should be first. What is the justification for putting Windows first in an article about a free software project? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.51.235.86 (talk) 20:52, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is nothing to do with GEVAL which says not all viewpoints are equally valid. But note the editor who made the change is a member of the Microsoft Project. 87.112.127.60 (talk) 06:22, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete/merge Supported JPEG metadata section?[edit]

Why is there a need for the separate JPEG metadata section? The current supported file formats has quite a few of the filetypes already. Can it be merged/deleted? Blackhole944055886 (talk) 12:49, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This was simply copied from ExifTool documentation. Imho both those lists fall under Wikipedia:INDISCRIMINATE and do not provide much value, especially, that this type of information can easily become outdated. – K4rolB (talk) 16:32, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
