Talk:Ex on the Beach (British TV series)

The opening paragraph needs to be rewritten. How should we do it?[edit]

The two sentences "It features eight single men and women enjoying a summer holiday in paradise while looking for love. However, they are joined by their exes to shake things up." is inappropriate for Wikipedia. For starters, it's too vague. What exactly is meant by "paradise".

It also sounds a lot more like an advertisement for the show that's designed to entice potential viewers rather than being an objective description of the show.

I was thinking of maybe writing it something like this instead; "Ex on the Beach is a reality television series that is broadcast on MTV. The series was first announced in February 2014 and premiered on 22 April 2014. Each season features eight single men and women living together on a tropical island."

I feel like more should be added to it, but I think this would be an improvement over the current text. Does anyone have any feedback? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Not a Sandwich (talkcontribs) 01:02, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, as it currently stands it doesn't say what the premise of the show is! The sentence at the top at least quickly tells you what the idea is. Can it not be done something like "It was advertised as featuring eight single men and women..."
