Death date dispute[edit]

At least two people have contested this article's date of death, which is listed as 1977. In an edit from September 2009, an anonymous IP removed the date of death, and today I received a message from someone saying he personally knew the author and is certain he died much later than 1977. When I asked for evidence he provided this, which clearly shows that someone named Everett Cole was born in 1910 and died in 2001. The two cited sources for the 1977 death provide no cause or information about the death. Any input about this would be helpful. ShadowUltra (talk) 21:39, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
