Clarification needed[edit]

Many English language sources have reduced their identification of the church to roughly "Evangelical Baptist Church, also known as the Salvation Sect." But I doubt if it's that simple and would like some input from Korean speaking editors who can quote better sources.

Currently the article reflects that the church used to be called Korean Evangelical Layman's Church and then changed name to Evangelical Baptist Church. But then I stumble upon a joint statement here: The Statement of the Evangelical Baptist Church & the Korean Laymen's Evangelical Fellowship (June 8, 2014).

Can anyone clarify? Sam Sailor Sing 08:39, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I only saw them called 기독교복음침례회 or Evangelical Baptist Church. I never saw name Korean Evangelical Layman's Church before. F355fan (talk) 15:38, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, F355fan. If you as Korean speaking haven't read about "한국평신도복음선교회" (Evangelical Layman's Church of Korea/Korean Evangelical Layman's Church/Korean Laymen's Evangelical Fellowship ... whatever would be the best translation) then my assumption is that they have not been mentioned by the big news outlets.
A Google News search on the term "한국평신도복음선교회" returns only 3 hits currently. But taking away 한국 (Korea(n)) and searching for "평신도복음선교회" (Evangelical Layman's Church) presently returns about 84 hits on Google News.
Searching for both "평신도복음선교회" and "기독교복음침례회" presently returns 72 hits on Google news.
The small amount of coverage in Korean would explain why we haven't heard of it in English/French/German.
Is it possible that someone could translate what Dr. Tark and his institute writes at least the history section (연혁과 변천), please? Best, Sam Sailor Sing 09:49, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
