Untitled[edit]

One thing I have noticed about the new system in Bilbao is that it is metre guage. Was a deliberated decision made to adopt metre guage siply becuase it was used on the previous system. It seems that Eskotran is not a light rail, it is based on the classic tramway but with modern technology such as low floor, accessable vechicles. Any information on vehicle cab controls, is it true that no tram in Europe has vigilance control despite its widespread adoption on heavy rail? Myrtone (the strict Australian wikipedian)(talk)

Terrible English[edit]

I did not not know where to start in putting this page into real English - it was very bad indeed. But I'be made a start — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.29.118.67 (talk) 22:12, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bilbao tram map not appearing in userbox[edit]

For some reason, it doesn't appear, although it looks like the code is OK. Weird. --Rhyswynne (talk) 09:49, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

EuskoTranEuskotren Tranbia – The company has now been renamed Euskotren, however, wikipedia won't allow me to rename the page. See their website here and the Spanish wikipedia.Cymru123 (talk) 15:15, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Any other reliable sources? I'll plain oppose until you provide them. Hill Crest's WikiLaser (Boom.) (talk) 00:04, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment The Spanish Wikipedia has Euskotren Tranbia, but the website uses "Tranvia". For added complication, we also have the existence of Euskotren Trena and Line A (EuskoTran) (the latter of which I've tagged for notability) and also Eusko Trenbideak - Ferrocarriles Vascos S.A. (on the Spanish Wikipedia)! I think that those with deeper local knowledge are needed to advise, so I've notified members of WP:BASQUE and WP:SPAIN. -- Trevj (talk) 12:18, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose According to this [1] history page on the company's site the train branch of the operation is EuskoTren, the tram branch EuskoTran whereas (looking at the main page) the individual tram systems are Tranbia Bilbao/Gasteiz. Except for the individual systems (Bilbao/Vitoria) the naming seems to be the same in Basque and Spanish. I think EuskoTran needs to stay where it is.
