Indian Subcontinent[edit]

Why would peoples of the Indian subcontinent, other than those of European descent, regard themselves as White? --Maurice45 (talk) 11:57, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Err, because "White" as a broad racial attribute isn't confined to people of European descent, maybe?--Ramdrake (talk) 12:03, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe it is, though the people won't call themselves that --Maurice45 (talk) 12:33, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While it is rare, there has been cases where South Asians have referred to themselves as "white" because they are Caucasoid. Then there's also the white Aryan/black Dravidian, white Brahmin/black Shudra beliefs.Saimdusan Talk|Contribs 03:00, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
