Have to question whether "Paul Keenan" and "Michael de Grussa" should be included as formal members of the band. Eskimo Joe is effectively just made up of Kav, Joel & Stu, as discussed they have included other musicians when on tour and recording but they have always just referred to the band as being a trio (for example at the 2006 ARIA Awards & on their website). Dan arndt

No, if they are only in the band on live performances and don't record with the band. [[User:Elevenzeroone|elevenzeroone]] 19:23, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
The drummer and keyboardist have changed. They aren't permanent members, as every published reference will confirm.  PN57  10:31, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't have a citation for it - but I was under the impression that the band was named (indirectly) after the restaurant. I seem to remember them saying something to the effect that they saw an Eskimo Joe's logo on a shirt, and decided to name their band after that, not realising the restaurant actually existed. My memory may be fallable on this point however.Blackjack4124 07:41, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm almost certain that Eskimo Joe was named after a term Joel's grandma would use to describe any friend of his she'll never really need to know ('Are you hanging out with that Eskimo Joe again?'), as I'm sure they mentioned during a Backstage Pass interview that I've now seen twice on channel 9. I know there's a restaraunt or a clothing store named Eskimo Joe's in America or something (it shows up on Google) but I'm almost certain they weren't named after it. merxeh

Yeah, Ive seen the website about the clothes store or whatever, and Ive spoken to a few American tourists who are under the impression that its named after the restaurant, but Im pretty sure Ive seen the back stage interview on Channel [V] confirming what you said about his grandma, and when you think about it, what would American tourists know about a Aussie band anyway?

Funnily enough, and coincidence maybe, but I and my daughter was visiting from Canberra in Perth and Fremantle in 1997 with my daughter and my collection of Eskimo Joe's T-shirts (two or three of them) which I got while working in Stillwater, Oklahoma (home of Eskimo Joe's). We spent some time walking about Fremantle wearing them so the odds are reasonable we could have been spotted by a band member. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.152.70.222 (talk) 12:23, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:EjGirl.jpg[edit]

Image:EjGirl.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:47, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale added (damm bots!) Dan arndt 09:21, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I concur! Mindman1 00:57, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An article with very little context. It's already mentioned here. I suggest a merge via a redirect here. Into The Fray T/C 12:40, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree haven't been able to find much information on the band. Dan arndt 02:55, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agree too. I can probably find some info on them somewhere (I think there was a blurb in a WAMI book one year, plus I have their CD so there might be some stuff on that) but it's not going to be reliably sourced or in depth. Somno 04:06, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I went to highschool with cavian, and he had a band then with some long haired guitar wiz dude and they had a kinda goofy teenaged version of black sabbath kinda sound. I mean yeah its highschool band stuff, but they did a lot of parties and where well enough known around freo. If anyone remembers what it was called, that'd be awesome. It was SOMETHING like "Hunter and fox". 121.44.226.13 (talk) 18:32, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
