Link[edit]

What is with the Christmas Carol link? It looks like it just links to a blog. Am I missing something? I'm glad to see others taking an interest in Chap. Phauge 16:49, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rambling, true. But it provides a wealth of information on the recording, filled with background details, crediting Chappell in a paragraph very near the bottom. Pepso 18:15, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, not to be rude, but the link is somewhat useless as far as an encyclopedic entry goes and really doesn't belong (although I won't argue that information on EC is sparse and the more info the better). I would recommend taking what information the link does have about our good friend Ernest Chappell and incorporating it into the article. You are probably more familiar with the contents of the page being linked to than I am, but if you like, I can do it. Phauge 15:27, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

I uploaded a picture of Chap the other day. I found it on a website and a search on Google images shows that it appears in several places on the internet. I'm pretty sure the image is public domain, but I don't have much of a way of finding out. Does anyone else know where this picture may have originated from or how I can validate it? I know it is not good form to keep the picture up without proper citation. I'll remove it myself if it can't be validated. Phauge 15:29, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Big Story[edit]

I recall the early days of B&W television, Ernest Chappell did the narration for the series "00:19, 27 September 2006 (UTC)4.233.158.186The Big Story"

With a quick Google search, "The Big Story" appears to be a radio show rather than a TV show. I could be wrong as this is the first I've heard of this. Do you know any more details that might help expand the article? Phauge 13:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ernestchappel.jpg[edit]

Image:Ernestchappel.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
