Iren dabasu and Iren nor[edit]

I am actually not entirely sure if these two lakes are one and the same (or if Iren dabasu is really a lake). Most of the google links are a bit confusing, but I have not come across sources claiming more than one salt lake near Ereen. Google earth just shows one salt lake and calls it Yeh-lieh-ta-pa-sha, which reads sufficiently similar to Iren dabasu (Wade-Giles t-s and p-s sound more like d-s and b-s in other languages). prostitution[edit]

I have removed the part about prostitution because the link to one photographer's page seems not yet enough to establish that prostitution is a very relevant topic when discussing Ereen. It may well be that Ereen is a very relevant topic when talking about prostitution by Mongolian women, but then the section should go into an article about prostitution in Mongolia or so, not necessarily into this one.

If there is a consensus that this section is important within this article, I'd suggest a less alarmist tone. There is enough prostitution within Mongolia to suspect that not all of those 200-300 women working in Ereen have been tricked into prostitution or are being sexually expoited. Nor is it very clear what, in the case of Ereen, transport infrastructure improvements have to do with prostitutes going to Macao or Beijing. I am completely aware that prostitutes, just like anyone alse, now only need 30h or so to go from UB to Beijing, instead of maybe 32h some years ago. But that does not mean that every sentence about new roads is a good occasion to mention human trafficking. Yaan (talk) 01:38, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
