Libertarian socialism ideology reference[edit]

The citation to the EDP website for Libertarian socialism, cites to the page which describes the party using the word: Özgürlükçü. There is an ongoing dispute on another page as to if this word means libertarian or if it means liberal. --Obsidi (talk) 18:19, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There is no actual dispute. It is perfectly clear that the word translates exclusively to libertarian, in the standard non-US sense meaning libertarian socialist, and has no other common usage. That is, putting aside the obvious contranym and absurdity of a "liberal socialist" party. fi (talk) 04:31, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Upon looking through the materials (as best I could, anyway) I'm reasonably sure this party identifies as social democratic and doesn't ever say that it's socialist. It does self-apply the libertarian label, but seems to align itself with a kind of nebulous libertarian left, maybe a little like Geolibertarians or similar (non-socialist, non-laissez-faire-capitalist) "economic egalitarian" schools of thought. I suggest keeping the "Left-libertarian" label but removing libertarian socialism, like the Turkish article, unless someone knows something I don't about this. fi (talk) 07:12, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
the reference is unsourced and has been tagged and challenged, unless a source is added, it should be removed. Darkstar1st (talk) 14:43, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
