This is the part where sperm cells are stored. It provides the sperm needed to fertilize the egg. From the epididymis, the sperm cells go through to theis testicle and fromt here they go to the vas deferens and then they go through the urethra to the foreskin and then out into the woman's vulva

I believe this is the specific part that sends the pain signals when the scrotal area is hit, and not the testicles. THEBlunderbuss 07:53, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The first paragraph is only partly correct. The spermatozoa come from the testis, through the efferent ducts into the head (caput) of the epididymis. They are stored in, and mature in, the epididymis, and are moved through it, from head to body to tail (cauda) by the absorption of fluid by specialised cells in the tail. After leaving the tail of the epididymis, they pass, as described, in succession through the vas deferens and the urethra and finally leave the body during ejaculation. yoyo (talk) 00:46, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I also noticed this and have added an "In Popular Culture" section. It is currently unsourced. One possible source is IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097428/quotes?item=qt0407325 though I do not knowif this meets Wikipedia's standards for citation. The full script is also available online, though A.) I do not know if linking to it on Wikipedia or even on this talk page would be a breach of copyright and B.) the script is incorrect. While the epididymis line itself is identical to that in the movie, the script contains a retort by Venkman. In the movie Venkman is instead stumped by Egon's use of the word Epididymis and says nothing - this is funny and unusual in the context of the film as it would usually be Venkman, not Egon, who got the last laugh in such an exchange. For now I will cite IMDB as best I can, though any help appreciated :). Source: I watched the movie this evening and came straight here to find out what an epididymis is.

Image review[edit]

While images are not a bad thing too many do not necessarily make improvements. The top image in the infobox shows the "adult human testicle with epididymis", and the first image in the "Gallery" places it in perspective with the "male reproductive system". I do not see improvements added by the other images except possibly just adding images or creating textbook coverage. Otr500 (talk) 16:58, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
