What is "X"?[edit]

This is a wonderful diagram, but of limited value to a lay (physicist even) person without more complete definitions of the labeling, especially for the family of overlaid "x" curves. It is obviously a fraction, <100%, and I suppose it must be saturation or something of the kind, but its meaning is really not clear.

It would be good if information like this could be associated with our figures somehow in the commons, to make it easily available to editors. Many figures are almost meaningless or useless without it. Thanks! Wwheaton (talk) 20:17, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Two types of Molier diagrams are mixed here![edit]

The h-s (enthalpy-entropy) and h-x (enthalpy-humidity ratio) diagrams are both covered here, under one title (h-s). The secont top picture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Mollier.pdf) shows Dry-Bulb temperature-humidity ratio diagram (similar to h-x, and Psychrometric). Applications and usage talks about h-x diagram. This is highly confusing.
