Enterprise Municipal Airport (Oregon) → Enterprise Municipal Airport, Oregon – Per Wikipedia:Article_titles#Disambiguation ("With place names, if the disambiguating term is a higher-level administrative division, it is often separated using a comma instead of parentheses"). The advice in Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Style guide/Naming (Airports) was updated by me in January of this year, and its place there is disputed as there wasn't local discussion before I made the edit. While place names did at one time frequently have parenthetical disambiguation, we have gradually moved them over to comma-separated, and airports appear to be the only remaining area where parenthetical is still used - though I may be wrong about that! There are quite a number of airport articles which use parenthetical disambiguation, and it is hoped that the result of this discussion will settle which form of disambiguation should be used. Oppose I wouldn't really call the state of Oregon "a higher-level administrative division" of which the airport is a part, though I suppose that's true to a certain extent. This doesn't appear to be a good name for WP:NATURAL disambiguation, since the title of the subject is simply "Enterprise Municipal Airport." As much as I dislike WP:USPLACE, people do refer to, for example, Eugene, Oregon. But in this case, the state name is only included for disambiguation purposes. Were it otherwise, we might include states or countries in every airport title *shudder*. --BDD (talk) 19:10, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. As per the descriptions in Wikipedia:Article titles#Disambiguation, comma-separated disambiguation does not apply here because Oregon is not a higher-level administrative division of an airport and natural disambiguation does not apply because it is not commonly called "Enterprise Municipal Airport, Oregon" (unlike Enterprise, Oregon, where both rules apply). Common names in the format "Airport Name, Location" occur infrequently, one exception being airports in Norway (such as Førde Airport, Bringeland and Førde Airport, Øyrane). There are currently over 600 airport articles disambiguated in the format "Airport Name (Location)". Finally, airports are not the only type of articles disambiguated by locations within parentheses; see Hood River (Oregon) which is a river vs. Hood River, Oregon which is a city. In addition to rivers, similar categories include lakes, canals, dams, reservoirs, roads, bridges, mountains, hospitals, schools, and churches (some of these categories may contain exceptions, but locations within parentheses seem to be the most common method). -- Zyxw (talk) 17:45, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
