Merge/redirect[edit]

The following discussion is closed and will soon be archived: Outcome: merged/redirected

I propose to merge and redirect the Enterprise Platform Programme title to this article. I propose this because the content and subject of "Enterprise Platform Programme" meets effectively all of the WP:MERGEREASONs. Namely that:

  • It is a very short permastub which (given the lack of notability or sources) is unlikely to be expanded. Certainly not within a "reasonable amount of time" per the guideline (As evidenced by the fact that, in the 11 years since its creation, it hasn't been expanded beyond a two-sentence DICDEF in that time.)
  • It overlaps significantly with this Enterprise Ireland article. To the extent that WP:PRODUCT would also seem to apply.
  • It is impossible to discuss the subject without context or duplication from this Enterprise Ireland article.

In honesty I was in two minds as to whether to simply PROD the "Enterprise Platform Programme" article (on the basis that there are no sources to support the concepts independent notability). But there are a few mentions of the subject around the place (albeit never independent of the organisation that operates it/them). In any event, there is no value in a standalone 2-sentence permastub of this type. And so I propose to merge/redirect it here. Thoughts? Guliolopez (talk) 12:39, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bump. It's been nearly a month. I haven't heard any other thoughts. If there are no objections or alternative proposals, I'll likely complete this merge/redirect in the coming days. My own thoughts have not changed since (I see absolutely no value or reason to have what (effectively) amounts to a single sentence having its own article....)  Resolved. I waited a month. And have gone ahead with the merge. While attempting to find sources for the limited amount of "mergable" content, it became clear that the subject of the other article has been "defunct" for the guts of a decade. And, as per the above, even before then was not independently notable. (The equivalent of having an article for every single service offered by an organisation, or every single course offered by a training provider. It just doesn't stand up.) Anyway. Closing now.
