edit of March 20, 2012[edit]

I have removed some incorrect statements that often crop up when historians mention Imperial Ballet history. The following statement is not entirely true - "By performing in these two contrasting roles, Cecchetti showed Russian audiences that men could perform all the ballet steps that were usually reserved for women" Cecchetti transformed male technique in Russia long before his performance as the Bluebird. Also, Prior to Cecchetti's arrival, male technique and female technique both had their own clear turf. Cecchetti certainly did not perform "ballet steps that were usually reserved for women". --Mrlopez2681 (talk) 12:40, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

__________

This statement in the introduction- "The general populace was not aware that he could only turn in one direction and in fact, had to have all his choreography tailored especially to accommodate this weakness."- stands alone without explaining what weakness only allowed him to turn in one direction. 99.2.148.148 (talk) 01:08, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is why I think his name has been written wrong and whitewashed through the decades and if i'm wrong i don't care[edit]

Okay so in Italian, the cc sound is pronounced ch, so it doesn't make any sense to add the h in the middle of his name so I think someone wrote his name wrong once, and now it has been written wrong through time, and it has been whitewashed because there's no need for that h in the middle. I know this because I'm Spanish. Anyways that's what I think. You can correct me if you want.
