I've nominated for deletion this page because it is just a autopromo. I live now in Chile and I've never heard about this. --MisterWiki talk contribs 19:49, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese?[edit]

Wouldn't the Chinese teachers be in a different program? (Heroeswithmetaphors) talk 19:48, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The program's official name is not English Opens Doors, but an act of congress that establishes funds for the promotion of the major languages of the world. That has since been narrowed to English and Chinese, though English is the main focus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saladfork77 (talkcontribs) 13:53, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Really? What is the official name? Can you provide a link to the act of congress? (BTW: the two relevant-looking links to PDFs on the Spanish page are both dead). "El Programa Inglés Abre Puertas" certainly seems to be the common name. Snori (talk) 23:45, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
