The original Russian Wikipedia article states that it incorporates article from the Britannica Eleventh Edition (1890-1907), but I have not transferred that template to this article because I don't know what information came from there.

OK. This article is a bit of a dog's breakfast, but don't blame my translation (well you can do that also), blame the Russians. First it gives 1383-1390 for for the original Swiss founder (Henry Englehardt) and the 1400's for George Englehardt, the founder of the Russian line. Then it talks about Carl Bernard Engelhardt, whose 1159-1230 dates precede either of those. But he is "legendary" so... who knows? Then we have Jeremiah who died "before 1672" (presumably not long before), the first Orthodox Englehardt; what it the relation between him and George? I don't know what to make of all this. Other members?[edit]

  • Kira von Engelhardt is probably a member of this family, but I don't know for sure, and the Russian original doesn't list her.
  • Wolf von Engelhardt is probably a member of this family, but I don't know for sure, and the Russian original doesn't list him. Herostratus (talk) 16:48, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Grigori Engelhardt is almost certainly a member of this family, but I don't know for sure, and the Russian original doesn't list him. Herostratus (talk) 04:32, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nick Clegg[edit]

I have placed a Template:dubious by the entry for Nick Clegg, Deputy Prime Minister of the UK, because a link thorough a non notable grandmother is a tenuous direct link to the family, and I think not notable enough to be included here. --PBS (talk) 09:29, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Don't be ridiculous. It is not dubious that she was his grandmother, that Clegg is a member of the family, and it is certainly notable that he is a descendant. I will remove it. cwmacdougall 11:56, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Huge numbers of people are similarly related to notable families. This in itself is not notable, and such a tenuous link is not notable -- PBS (talk) 13:49, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
