"The case was flicked by a ..."[edit]

This change from 24 July 2016 makes no sense to me, but I am not a lawyer. Is this a technical term, or did someone get careless?

I grant that the original wording is a little clunky ("The case was initiated by a ..."), but the change is either wrong or simply more obscure. If no one objects, I could change it to "The case began with a ...", or even "The case had its beginnings with a ...".
