A little confused[edit]

I'm not sure why this article was 'proposed for deletion' at any point. I've read hundreds (if not thousands) of wiki entries that are much more poorly written than what was here and some that are blatant spam. This is an association that lobbies Congress on behalf of its members just like literally thousands of others associations and interest groups. There's really not much to 'advertise' as these organizations earn most if their revenue from dues that their member bases. PLUS - since they are a 501 non-profit pretty much all of their finances are public and available as per the link I added in the article.

You have to wonder if it was the editor that suggested this page be deleted had an agenda and not the original writer(s). I'd also be interested in how they know that 'compensation' was involved but that's a whole other can of worms that probably shouldn't be opened. Anyway, I am pretty clued into the energy industry from academic standpoint and so I tried to update the article to show how this association fits into it while also giving the reader an overall sense of what they do and who they represent. 172.58.129.183 (talk) 11:37, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
