factual error: the wiki article states: Williams was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and grew up in Virginia, and lived in Europe from 1949 to 1966.


In fact, Williams lived most of his life in Berlin, which is also where he passed away. According to his obituary in the NY Times: 'After 14 years in the United States, Mr. Williams won a grant from the German Academic Exchange Service and in 1980 moved to Berlin, where he worked up until his death.' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.46.217.75 (talk) 20:04, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
