Layout of History section for Harari Emirate[edit]

What certain events should be prioritized? Egyptian occupation? Burton's expedition? Relations with neighboring ethnic groups and countries? I would like some recommendations. Replayerr (talk) 21:17, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the bit about the Oromo influence in Harar as its misleading, Oromo werent the only one to influence the state. Find sources that specifically mention Oromo alone instead of omitting other groups like Somalis. I get the section is about relations with Oromo but the reference used is not only discussing them. The emirates marriage alliances resulting into influence on Hararis seems inaccurate. I think Cerulli is referring to the Harari state per say on this maybe its a bad translation. Should I declare that it’s Cerulli’s opinion that there has been Oromo influence instead of a fact set in stone? If you can find the original Cerulli text regarding this and compare it, that would be good. Replayerr (talk) 11:32, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add the full context or find another reference that solely mentions Oromo influence. A better idea is to insert the statement such as "Oromo were one of the groups to influence hararis alongside other neighboring groups in the region. This indirectly includes Somalis which you omitted from the statement without mentioning them since the whole section is about Oromo. Magherbin (talk) 20:32, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
