Untitled[edit]

I just stopped by this Wikipedia entry because the Shady Rest Hotel of Hooterville sitcom fame was based an apparently-defunct Eldon hotel (plus the fact that I happen to be a native Missourian, having been raised in suburban St. Louis). When I noted that the entire town doesn't even comprise four square miles and has a total population of under 5,000, I was imagining a sort of place that us big-city folk often dismiss as having not much going for it.

Then I read it has not one but TWO newspapers, and THEN I started going through the list of current-as-of-2014 businesses, and was simply floored. For the list is seemingly endless, with even no less than three concerns that start with Z! So business is BOOMING in Eldon, apparently! Thus my apologies to every Eldoner (Eldonite? Eldonion?) for having assumed otherwise! [signed] FLORIDA BRYAN — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:3:1000:5B1:9227:E4FF:FEF0:BBDE (talk) 08:05, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
