Footnotes 4 and 5 in Jordan (1999) p.78 point to more work about El amor brujo:
... there is some interesting, more recent work on El amor brujo. Jaime Giordano's article, "El espacio en la narrativa de Roberto Arlt," explores Arlt's imaging of movement; Beatriz Sarlo, in La imaginación técnica, is interested in the architectural aspect; Aníbal Jarkowski, in "El amor brujo: la novela 'mala' de Arlt," explores the relationship with the 1920s and 1930s novela rosa ["romantic novel"] ... Lázaro Liacho's Palabra de hombre contains a seventy-page diatribe against Arlt and El amor brujo: "Roberto Arlt, dentro y fuera de El amor brujo."
