can't get the image to work in the Infobox, sorry - Spanish Fig

"Type"[edit]

I just put it default as "Broadsheet" even though I know for a fact El Pais is not broadsheet since I read it. However, I am not sure what "type" it would fit into. If anyone knows please add it into the infobox.--Jersey Devil 04:58, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was surprised by this all right. I think it is Compact and have changed to that. -- Blorg 14:50, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Circulation[edit]

I just updated the readership numbers I found in yesterdays País, however I have to admit that I don't understand them. First: how to explain the great gap between the numbers given by the Estudio General de Medios and at http://www.introl.es/f_alta.htm (to which I have no access now for lack of some plugins)? Second: how does EGM count 2.3 million readers? (not explained by article). Ben T/C 11:19, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on El País. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Recent Allegations of Political Blackmail[edit]

This is a quote from a recent The Guardian article:

"But this week, Sánchez revealed that he was blocked by powerful corporations, including banks and Spanish telecoms giant Telefónica. These interests run El País, the country’s largest newspaper. Unless Sánchez allowed Rajoy to return to power, or accepted a new round of elections, El País would launch a vicious campaign against Sánchez. A coalition with Podemos was simply intolerable.

Here was direct interference in Spanish democracy by unaccountable vested interests to stop a progressive government taking power. “Sánchez has recognised the pressure of the oligarchic powers and that it was a mistake not seeking an agreement with us,” says Podemos leader Pablo Iglesias."

Bias & Poor Writing[edit]

This article reeks of bias and contains many errors in grammar and spelling. It should be thoroughly reviewed by non-biased editors. PerhapsXarb (talk) 02:54, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@PerhapsXarb: can you elaborate on this? I'd like to fix these issues but need to know what you're talking about here. Donna Spencertalk-to-me 03:08, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
